wooltide people commissions
I have a lot of fun with my papermache figures. I have been working with papermache for the past couple of years and I have built up quite the little paper community. They are all made from old preread magazines. I make 'Magsies' which are my larger figures (approx 20 - 25cm tall) and they are covered in relevant words. I also make 'Zinis' which are smaller (approx 15cm - 18cm tall) and weren't supposed to have as many relevant words on them but I can't seem to stop myself! (I also have 'Teenyweeny Zinis' and my 'Zinimations' but they are a story for another time.)
The photos you see here are all commissioned pieces of work. Each of them are handmade by me and are modelled from photos I have been given. They all have relevant words on them. These words can vary from a favourite topic to a loved poem or song to as many words applicable to that person as the giver can think of. I need photos to work from and a few details about the person to be made. They make a great present for a special event eg. birthday, anniversary, graduation or wedding. I have had very nice feedback from the recipients.

My single figure Zinis are £120 - £150 and my single figure Magsies are £200 - £300.
The lead time is a couple of months as I obviously need time to ponder/collect and create.
My Magsies/Zinis come in a wooltide gift box and can also be sent directly to the recipient with a message from you. Just let me know what you would like written...
I do make every effort to capture the essence of the person in question however please remember that I am working with old magazines and the end result is a not going to be an exact replica of your beloved person! It is probably essential that the recipient has a sense of humour! :D
