This papermache skatergirl Magsie was handmade by me from a preread skateboarding magazine - given to me by my skateboarding son. Her name is "Landed" - which for those of you not in the know means, in skateboarding language, "Did it!" She is made entirely from the pages of the skateboarding magazine - images and text and is approximately 27cm tall (including her 2cm base made from locally sourced wood).
I have added little wordy and image details that I hope the recipient will find only after searching. She is a fairly sturdy piece of papermache and has been varnished several times all over. She's not to be left in direct sunlight but she is a very jolly and positive character that I hope a skater somewhere will appreciate. She is a complete one-off and is proud of that!
PS. Magsies are the biggest figures in my papermache range and are always made from old magazines - hence the name. The others in this range are called Zinis, Teeny weeny Zinis and Zinimations. I'm sure I'll think of more names inthe future! :D
